Transparency
A hallmark of good government is transparency. Without the ability to know where and how our tax dollars are being spent we can't be sure they are being spent wisely.
Transparency 2.0, sometimes called "Google" government, would require that all state spending, contract awards and revenue be listed on an easily searchable website.
The Economic Development and Fiscal Accountability Act would require transparency for subsidies and tax breaks awarded to businesses for economic development. It would require recipients to return taxpayer money if they don't produce the promised jobs or community benefits.
